BAI CHAY BEACH
Bai Chay beach belongs to Bai Chay ward, Halong city. It is an artificial beach which spans over 500m in width. The name Bai Chay is named after a ancient custom of Vietnamese. Very long time ago, many fisherman who live here fired a lot of fishing boats to protect them from the damage due to some sea creators. There was always smoke around this area, that why this beach was named Bai Chay.
Bai Chay is one of the most beautiful beaches of Halong Bay. As a result, there are a lot of tourists come here every year to swim and enjoy the beautiful scenery. There are many out-door and in-door activities that you can take part in while staying at Bai Chay beach: water puppet show, sea motorcycling, water-skiing, traditional Vietnamese cuisine show, traditional Vietnamese musical theater, etc.
The atmosphere is quite fresh and lively. Moreover, the water is so clean that you can see tiny rocks under the water. This is absolutely a touristy site for both international and domestic tourists.
TUAN CHAU BEACH
Another artificial beach but Tuan Chau beach is a little bit different from Bai Chay beach. Tuan Chau beach located inside Tuan Chau Resort which is a very famous resort on Halong Bay. TI TOP BEACH
Ti Top beach belongs to Ti Top Island which was named after a Soviet Hero – Ghermann Titov. This beach is different from 2 beaches above, this one is a natural beach. It is 14 km away from Bai Chay Wharf and situated at the central of Heritage Center.
Ti Top beach has the shape of a crescent moon which is very special and distinctive. The water is super clean, clear and blue due to the raising and falling of the tide. Ti Top island was an isolating island but it has become more famous nowadays. There are many interesting things that you can join while staying here like sky skiing, sea motorcycling, climbing, etc.

SOI SIM BEACH
If you need so visit somewhere with quiet and airy atmosphere, Soi Sim beach is not a bad idea! Soi Sim beach is quite new in compare to other Halong bay beaches because it has just been opened for 10 years. Soi Sim beach belongs to Soi Sim Island which is famous for its primitive forests. There are a lot of ancient fauna and flora on this island.
The water of Soi Sim beach is just super clean and clear-cut emerald water which is super attractive. It is so clear that you can even see schools of fish under the water. This beach is also well-known for its green color which made by the color of trees and plants here.

NGOC VUNG BEACH

There are not many activities offered here because Ngoc Vung beach is not as crowded as other beaches. You can come here for swimming and sightseeing, kayaking and savor the fresh taste of seafood here. All the food are well cooked by talented local Chef.
MINH CHAU BEACH
Here is another beach with the stunning landscape – Minh Chau beach. Located in Quan Lan Island, Minh Chau beach is a private beach with the shape of a crescent. The unique feature of this beach is the white non-sticky sand spans over 1 km long and its pristine beauty. Due to its small area, Minh Chau beach is quiet and less touristy than other Halong bay beaches.
Because of its peaceful and relaxing ambiance, Minh Chau beach is suitable for a relaxing long trip with your family. You can visit Minh Chau beach by departing from Cam Pha District and get a ferry to Cai Rong town. Then, canoe will be the last transportation to Quan Lan island where Minh Chau beach is located.
The water is clear blue and the wave is suitable for surfing and other water-sports. Note that most of Minh Chau’s beachfront restaurants are only open from May to October, and that June and July are more expensive with the influx of domestic tourists.
QUAN LAN BEACH
Quan Lan beach is located on Quan Lan island – the same island as Minh Chau beach. The distance of the two beach is about 15 km, while Minh Chau beach is in the north, Quan Lan beach is in the south of the island. Quan Lan beach has some features that similar to Minh Chau beach such as the quietness and less touristy.
Behind the beach is a firm stand of green wild pines which is very distinctive and unique charm. Quan Lan beach has deep blue sea with strong waves that are suitable for many water-sports. Next to it is Quan Lạn Pagoda (Linh Quang Tự), which is dedicated to Buddha and God Lieu Hanh. The pagoda also worships the statue of old Hậu, a local person who made lots of contributions to the construction of the pagoda.
BA TRAI DAO BEACH
Ba Trai Dao beach is nearby Cat Ba island and 22 km away from Bai Chay Wharf. This beach belongs to Ba Trai Dao islet which is a special islet. Ba Trai Dao means Three Peaches and why it has that name? Because the islet is a group of 3 small mountains which look alike 3 peaches. Ba Trai Dao beach is just a small beach but it has a very nice ambiance. If you are looking for a peaceful place for your resting trip, this is one of the best choices.
There is one important thing you need to remember while visiting Ba Trai Dao beach: you can only swim 2 – 3 hours a day! Here is the reason, the tide raises very fast and engulfs the beach quickly so it is quite dangerous if you stay too long at the beach.
Ba Trai Dao has become a very famous and romantic beach for all tourists. It started with an ancient legend. The legend said that long time ago, the youngest daughter of the God felt in love with a poor fisherman who lived in this islet. Because she was a goddess and immortal so she wants to give the fishermen the endless life too. She stole three peaches from the heaven and gave them to him. Unfortunately, his father – The God noticed and he was very angry that he turned the three peaches into three rock mountains. Ending of a tragic love story.
